About Y.E.T. Compassion
A nonprofit ministry empowering South Sudanese youth and families through the Gospel, education, and purposeful community building — in the U.S.A., South Sudan, and beyond.
Y.E.T. Compassion is a nonprofit ministry founded by Evangelist Gai Bol Luom, dedicated to serving South Sudanese communities in the U.S.A., South Sudan, and beyond. Our name — Y.E.T. — stands for Youth Evangelism Training, reflecting our core commitment to empowering the next generation through preparation grounded in Scripture. What began as grassroots mission work in 2006 was formalized in 2025 when Y.E.T. Compassion was registered in Nashville, Tennessee as an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization — building on nearly two decades of faithful service.
We stand at the intersection of faith, community, and transformation. Our young people carry stories shaped by resilience, displacement, and hope. By equipping them with education, practical skills, and spiritual grounding, we prepare them to lead with integrity and serve their communities — wherever they are.
To empower South Sudanese youth and families through faith-centered education, leadership development, and community support, equipping them to thrive and lead with integrity in their adopted home while maintaining their cultural identity and spiritual foundation.
A generation of South Sudanese youth anchored in faith, empowered by knowledge, and committed to transforming their communities — in the U.S.A., South Sudan, and wherever they are called to serve — through servant leadership, ethical action, and intergenerational investment.
