Youth Evangelism Training (Y.E.T.) Compassion is a nonprofit ministry rooted in nearly two decades of grassroots mission work that began in South Sudan in 2006. The ministry was formally registered as a Tennessee nonprofit in Nashville in 2025 and granted IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status in 2026. Today our work centers on two callings: building a Christian school in Juba, South Sudan, and youth evangelism & discipleship.

Yes. Y.E.T. Compassion's work began in South Sudan in 2006 with missions in the Biong community — drilling water wells, delivering food aid and medical supplies, and supporting schools. When war broke out in South Sudan in 2013, families were displaced and the ministry's work on the ground had to stop. Today, conditions have opened the door to return, and Y.E.T. We are raising funds to build a Christian school in Juba, South Sudan. The school will serve families seeking a Christ-centered education for their children and support vulnerable communities — because education, grounded in Christ, changes the direction of a life, a family, and a community. Phase 1 has a goal of $100,000 and covers securing land, laying the foundation, and raising the first classrooms in Juba. Later phases will add more classrooms, teacher housing, furnishing, books, and opening enrollment.

The school is being built in partnership with local churches, community leaders, and organizations on the ground in South Sudan, with our South Sudan operations led by Director David Gai Pandak.
