Bringing Education to a Young Nation

Youth Evangelism Training Compassion is raising funds to build a Christian school in Juba — a school for families who want a good Christian education for their children, serving vulnerable communities and advancing hope, healing, and transformation in South Sudan.

Why a School

Education Makes the Difference

We believe education makes a difference in a person's life — especially Christian education. In a nation as young as South Sudan, a school is more than a building: it is a promise to the next generation that their future will be larger than their past.

Our school will serve families who need a good Christian education for their children — grounding students in academic excellence and biblical truth at the same time, so that what is learned in the classroom takes root in character.

All work is conducted in partnership with local churches, community leaders, and organizations — the people who know their communities best and will carry this school forward for decades.

What the School Stands On

Three Pillars

📖

Academic Excellence

A rigorous education that equips children to read, reason, and build — preparing them for meaningful work and leadership in a growing nation.

✝️

Christ at the Center

Biblical truth woven through school life — so students grow in knowledge and in character, discipled as well as taught.

🤝

Community Partnership

Built with local churches, community leaders, and organizations — serving vulnerable families and strengthening the community around every student.

The Plan

From Ground to Grand Opening

Building a school in South Sudan costs between $100,000 and $300,000, depending on size and scope. Rather than waiting until every dollar is in hand, we are building in phases — each phase a complete, usable step forward.

1

Land, foundation & first classrooms — $100,000 goal · now underway

Secure the site in Juba, lay the foundation, and raise the first classrooms so teaching can begin as early as possible.

2

Additional classrooms & teacher housing

Expand capacity and make it possible for good teachers to live where they serve.

3

Furnishing, books & opening enrollment

Desks, books, and supplies — then doors open and the first students walk in.

Phase details and final budget are confirmed with our partners on the ground and published on the campaign page and our financial transparency page as the project progresses.

A Track Record, Not a Promise

We Have Built Before

Between 2006 and 2013, Y.E.T. Compassion drilled water wells, delivered food aid and medical supplies, and supported schooling in the Biong community — work documented in the photos below. The school in Juba continues what war interrupted.
